Bayer Ballet’s Summer Intensive is where serious dancers come to refine their technique and artistry, while discovering opportunities to take their dancing to the next level.  An artfully-rigorous curriculum,  presenting Vaganova technique in its purest form, is delivered by internationally-acclaimed Bayer Ballet Faculty & Guest Instructors.  

 

Don't miss this opportunity to audition for the Summer Intensive Program at Bayer Ballet, which was awarded Outstanding School in 2018, 2019, & 2020 by Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), the world’s largest global network of dance.  Bayer Ballet has received international recognition with two dancers accepted to participate in Prix de Luasanne 2020.

Video Submission Information

Videos should be maximum 10 minutes in length.

Please begin with a short introduction; state your name, age, the number of years of dance education, the number of years of pointe work (if applicable), the name of your current school and teacher(s).

 

Barre and center exercises: plié, battement tendu, adagio, pirouettes, petit, medium, and grand allegro, tours en l'air for men, and pointe work for women. A classical ballet variation on pointe is optional. 

All candidates must complete AUDITION APPLICATION and AUDITION FEE payment before submitting a video audition. 

 

SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are limited and considered for students of exceptional talent and need and granted at the sole discretion of the artistic director. Students receiving scholarship offers are expected to make early decisions about attendance.

The Summer Intensive culminates in an in-studio demonstration, 

presented by participants of the 6-week program.

"The Class Concert," a work is based on the graduation performance of the Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy, School of Classical Ballet. In this piece, dancers, of various ages and stages of their training, demonstrate the progression across various levels within the Vaganova System.
