Bayer Ballet’s Summer Intensive is where serious dancers come to refine their technique and artistry, while discovering opportunities to take their dancing to the next level. An artfully-rigorous curriculum, presenting Vaganova technique in its purest form, is delivered by an internationally-acclaimed faculty.

Work with VASILY MEDVEDEV, choreographer of Esmeralda from BOLSHOI. Learn & perform the Esmeralda Suite & other Classical Masterpieces. The intensive will culminate in a professionally staged performance at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts.

VIDEO SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (6-WEEK SI)
>> Short Introduction including: name, age, number of years of dance education, number of years of pointe work (if applicable), and name of your current school and teacher(s).
>> Barre and center exercises: plié, battement tendu, adagio, pirouettes, petit, medium, and grand allegro, tours en l'air for men, and pointe work for women. A classical ballet variation on pointe is optional.

We are extremely excited and honored to be hosting the world-renowned choreographer of Esmeralda from BOLSHOI, Vasily Medvedev.
Participants of the Summer Intensive will have a unique opportunity to work with Mr. Medvedev and master teacher and principal dancer, Stanislav Feco to learn and perform an Esmeralda Suite & Classical Masterpieces.
The award-winning team has collaborated on the choreography for several major ballet companies, including Bolshoi Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin, Lithuanian National Ballet, Compañía Nacional de Danza in Mexico, Croatian National Ballet, and Perm Ballet to name a few.

Since 1989, Vasily collaborated as a dancer and choreographer with various theatres and companies in Russia and abroad and was invited to prestigious events such as “World Ballet Festival” (Donetsk, Ukraine), “World Stars Gala” (Minsk, Belarus), “Stars of St.Petersburg Ballet” (USA), “Notte di Stelle” (Cagliari, Italy), “Gala International” (Estonia, Lithuania), “Y.Makhalina and Stars of St.Petersburg Ballet” (Argentina, Costa Rica), “Stars of St.Petersburg Ballet” (USA).
Among Mr. Medvedev's works is more than 50 titles created for Russian and international audience theatres for the major ballet companies, including Esmeralda from the Bolshoi Ballet. Companies include:
