Summer Intensive

Bayer Ballet’s Summer Intensive is where serious dancers come to refine their technique and artistry, while discovering opportunities to take their dancing to next level.  An artfully-rigorous curriculum,  presenting Vaganova technique in its purest form, is delivered by internationally-acclaimed Bayer Ballet Faculty & Guest Instructors.

  • August  9-10: Summer Intensive Showcase, presented by participants of the Summer Intensive Program at Menlo Atherton Performing Arts Center

Qualified Summer Intensive students are invited to audition for the full-time pre-professional training program.

Women: black leotard, pink tights, bring Pointe shoes
Men: black tights and white t-shirt

Video Submission Information

Videos should be maximum 15 minutes in length.

Please begin with a short introduction; state your name, age, the number of years of dance education, the number of years of pointe work (if applicable), the name of your current school and teacher(s).

 

The video should demonstrate barre and center exercises, including adagio, tendus, pirouettes, petit, medium, and grand allegro, tours en l'air for men, and pointe work for ladies.  

 

A classical ballet variation is optional. 

All candidates must complete AUDITION APPLICATION and AUDITION FEE payment before submitting a video audition. 

 

SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are limited and considered for students of exceptional talent and need and granted at the sole discretion of the artistic director. Students receiving scholarship offers are expected to make early decisions about attendance.
