About

Bayer Ballet
vaganova center of excellence

bayer ballet academy

Founded in 2005 by Inna Bayer, Bayer Ballet Academy delivers the Vaganova method of classical ballet through an artfully-rigorous program designed for all ages and levels from pre-ballet through pre-professional, adult classes, summer intensive programs, master classes with internationally renowned guest teachers, and professional stage and outreach performance opportunities.

In July 2021, Bayer Ballet became the OFFICIAL PARTNER SCHOOL to the world-renowned VAGANOVA BALLET ACADEMY in St. Petersburg.

Artists seeking a holistic approach to the art directly experience the benefits of the Vaganova method, a scientifically based and physiologically sound methodology, which incorporates the laws of physics and bio-mechanics. This foundation creates impeccable artistry and creativity, awareness - mind and body, within the dancer.  This method prepares dancers with a solid foundation that allows them to be adaptable to other dance styles and choreography, creating freedom of movement to allow the dancer to realize their full artistic potential.

We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of ballet, preserving the traditions of Vaganova through a systematic approach, based on the culture and curriculum of the Vaganova method.  We are committed to providing a healthy and nurturing environment, where our students can safely grow and thrive through careful attention to their well-being, as people and artists.  Our award-winning faculty directly hail from the Vaganova Academy and Bolshoi, where they received their training, teaching credentials and advanced graduate degrees in pedagogy. Their accomplished professional dance careers and teaching credentials provide our students with a unique experience to learn the authentic intricacies of the Vaganova method through an artfully-rigorous curriculum which provides the purest experience and insights into this artform. Through the process, students learn essential life skills which they will carry with them throughout their lives, such as discipline, perseverance, accountability.

We believe every student deserves a safe and nurturing environment to grow as an artist.  Our program is designed to adapt to the evolving conditionsWe are resilient. Our outdoor studios, designed with the dancers’ health and safety as our priority (raised wood flooring and overhead coverage), provide the necessary flexibility to adapt to changes in COVID tiers. Whether we are dancing in-studio or virtually, we are committed to delivering the highest quality education, access to world-renowned faculty and master teachers, and culturally-rich programs for our community.
