We are extremely excited and honored to be hosting the world-renowned choreographer of Esmeralda from BOLSHOI and Nutcracker from Staatsballett Berlin, Vasily Medvedev.
Working in collaboration with master teacher and principal dancer,Stanislav Feco, the Petipa Heritage Fund, and Bayer Ballet Company and with limited historical materials to study, Medvedev is creating 100% of the choreography for this adaptation of "The Romance of the Rosebud and the Butterfly," hoping to resurrect this mostly forgotten ballet in the traditional style of Petipa. The award-winning team behind this production has collaborated on the choreography for several major ballet companies, including Bolshoi Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin, Lithuanian National Ballet, Compañía Nacional de Danza in Mexico, Croatian National Ballet, and Perm Ballet to name a few.
